Healing Trauma Through Self-Parenting: The Codependency Connection
co-authored with Phil Diaz, MSW, was published this spring by Health Communications, Inc.
Healing Trauma examines all aspects of trauma and healing and outlines a simple, 12-step process specifically tailored for those who have been impacted by trauma and codependency. Each chapter helps readers develop the skills necessary to redefine and empower themselves in the face of current challenges as they learn to heal their trauma and codependency from the past.
A nationally recognized psychologist in private practice in East Chatham and Albany, Dr. O’Gorman is noted for her work in families, children of alcoholics, trauma, child welfare, juvenile justice, mental health, and substance abuse. She is a cofounder of the National Association for Children of Alcoholics, and has held positions as clinical and executive director in service provider agencies and as director of prevention for the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.
In October, Pat will open a private practice office in Saranac Lake, NY.
